Operations Manager

Job Description

Do you have what it takes to be GO Pull-It’s Operations Manger? You would be overseeing the production teams responsible for recycling over 13,000 vehicles every year. To keep GO Pull-It’s team humming, the Operations Manager plans production, inventory and shipping team schedules, maintains a safe work environment all while balancing a variety of changing tasks such as equipment maintenance and operational improvements.

The most important aspect of our work is safety! We strive to have a safety-first culture and regularly conduct safety trainings and inspections to keep our team safe. The second most important aspect is to help your team members excel at their work. Your job is to help our team meet their goals, remove roadblocks and look ahead for what is needed in the future. The starting salary range for this role is $60,000-75,000 per year in addition to a generous benefits package.
 

As our Operations Manager, a typical day might include the following:

  • Kicking off the day with a team meeting to review todays goals
  • Adjusting team staffing to balance work needed  
  • Contacting vendors for shipments of outbound commodities
  • Meeting with the General Manager to discuss current operational goals and challenges
  • Planning maintenance work for both mobile and stationary equipment
  • Inspecting completed work and providing feedback to responsible teams
  • Training new team members and cross-training current staff of 15 direct reports
  • Typical schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm

You’re good at:

  • Maintaining a workplace safety program
  • Being a positive leader and accomplishing team goals
  • Effectively communicating with staff, management and outside contractors
  • Proactively solving problems in a changing environment and being open to new ideas for improvement
  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards and a professional workplace
  • Demonstrated leadership experience of 3-5 years managing 5+ employees

Even better if:

  • 2-4 year degree preferred
  • Interest in automobiles or auto recycling
  • Experience with mobile equipment such as forklifts, front end loaders and industrial machinery
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and email

Hours

Mon-Sun: 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Doors close at 5:30 p.m.

Open 7 days a week except Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day.
